Term
Financial proxy
Turkish: Finansal Eşdeğer
An approximate equivalent used to place a monetary value on a change that has no market price.
Changes such as increased self-confidence or reduced loneliness have no price. A financial proxy attempts to express the relative importance of that change to the stakeholder as a monetary quantity.
Choosing proxies is the most contested step in the analysis; for that reason the report states openly which proxy was chosen and why, and tests it through sensitivity analysis.
